ABOUT

Emma Highfield (she/her) is a primarily 35mm film photographer working in the darkroom while gradually exploring digital processes. Her work centers around themes of nostalgia, humanity, connection, and femininity, she enjoys capturing intimate moments that evoke a sense of unity. Emma’s current practice consists mainly of analog techniques, with a strong emphasis on process and emotion. She is currently working on an upcoming group exhibition; When We’re Awake, McMillan Gallery (Eugene, OR). Looking ahead, she aims to collaborate with other artists and share her work more widely through exhibitions and creative community engagement.

In summer 2025, Emma is graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Advertising and a Minor in Art with a Photography emphasis. Post-graduation, Emma will be returning home to Minneapolis, Minnesota to seek out commercial and freelance photography opportunities.
